There wasn't much room in the Associated Press poll for the USC Trojans to move up, but they managed to do so anyway. The latest college football rankings are out, and USC has moved up one spot in the AP poll, into a tie for ninth with the Boise State Broncos, the highest ranking of the season for the Trojans. USC beat the UCLA Bruins on Saturday night 50-0 in Los Angeles, and finished their season with four straight victories and a 10-2 record.
The Trojans were ranked No. 10 in last week's poll, a jump of eight spots after their 38-35 win at Autzen Stadium in Eugene against the Oregon Ducks. Here is the AP top 10:
1) LSU
2) Alabama
3) Oklahoma State
4) Stanford
5) Virginia Tech
6) Arkansas
7) Houston
8) Oregon
9) USC
9) Boise State
The Pac-12 has three top ten teams for the second week in a row. The regular season is over for both USC and Stanford. Stanford has a shot at a BCS bowl, while Oregon can clinch a spot in the Rose Bowl with a win over UCLA in the Pac-12 Championship Game on Friday night.
