USC Vs. UCLA 2011: Rivalry Notes And Series History

The USC Trojans and UCLA Bruins have perhaps one of the most underrated rivalries in all of sport. Both teams have gone up against each other and played some heated and contested rivalry games in the past. The rivalry has fallen into a bit of disrepair lately, as UCLA  has dropped 11 of their last 12 games to USC. The Bruins would love to reverse the trend and prove they're headed in the right direction.

Here's a look at all the pertinent details of the rivalry.

Series record:  USC and UCLA have been playing 80 of the last 82 years. The Trojans boast a 45-28-7 record in the rivalry.

Last year’s result:  USC dominated UCLA en route to another huge victory, winning 28-14. Bruins head coach Rick Neuheisel has yet to win a game for the Bruins during his tenure against the rivals in Los Angeles.

Current streak:  USC has won the last four games in the rivalry.

Longest-ever streak: UCLA won eight straight in the rivalry from 1991 to 1998.

First meeting: The Bruins lost to the Trojans 76-0 on September 28th, 1929.
