2011 Las Vegas Invitational: USC Battles Host UNLV, With North Carolina Looming

USC is 2-3 on the season.

The USC Trojans will spend their holiday weekend in Sin City as they battle the UNLV Runnin' Rebels in the third round of the 2011 Las Vegas Invitational tournament at the Orleans Arena. USC is coming off a win Tuesday night at home against the Morgan State Bears, and could face the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday if the bracket shakes out right.

Here is a look at Friday's schedule, with all times PST:

  • 11:30 a.m. - Tennessee State vs. Mississippi Valley
  • 2 p.m. - Cal Poly vs. Morgan State, in a battle of the last two opponents of USC
  • 4:30 p.m. - USC vs. UNLV
  • 7 p.m. - North Carolina vs. South Carolina (ESPN2)

The Trojans if they win on Friday will play at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday on ESPN2 against the winner of North Carolina vs. South Carolina. Should USC lose on Friday, they will play at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday against the loser of North Carolina vs. South Carolina.
