College Football Rankings, Week 12: Oregon Moves to No. 4, Stanford Falls to No. 9 in USA Today/Coaches Poll

Stay connected for news and updates

After the Oregon Ducks took care of the Stanford Cardinal down on the Farm in Palo Alto Saturday night, they have set themselves up nicely for some BCS action at the end of the year, while the Cardinal may have removed themselves for the BCS conversation all together. There was a lot of shifting inside the USA Today/Coaches Poll top 25 this week, though LSU remained as the top dog in the country.

Alongside LSU inside the top five are Oklahoma State holding strong at No. 2 Alabama, Oregon, and Oklahoma. Stanford's season crushing loss dropped them from fourth all the way to No. 9  this week, while Boise State's second-straight season killing field goal snafu cost them big time in the polls, falling all the way to No. 11. The USC Trojans get their shot at the Oregon Ducks next weekend up at Autzen Stadium.

TCU used their Boise State victory to rise up to  No. 19, Southern Mississippi moved to No. 20, while Florida State and Notre Dame rejoined the top 25 at No. 22 and No. 25 respectfully.
