UCLA Basketball Recruiting: Shabazz Muhammad Intrigued By Kentucky, In No Rush To Commit

Shabazz Muhammad is the prize that UCLA Bruins basketball fans all seek. But they're going to have to wait awhile, and probably compete with Kentucky Wildcats fans for their affection for the Bishop Gorman talent.

The Las Vegas high school senior swingman continues to be patient in taking his trips, and it looks like he and his dad are going to take their time in making a decision about where he attends school. Muhammad most recently attended Midnight Madness in Lexington, and Nation of Blue got the full rundown.

We were really intrigued by the practices. There was no wasted time and they really got up and down the floor. The dribble-drive concepts were broken down, and they were really intriguing."

"Shabazz will be a springtime decision. We still have to see Duke, Arizona, and Kansas, and see more of UCLA, USC, and UNLV."

It's clear that Kentucky is going to be right there until the end. John Calipari has openings left in his class, and I'm sure he wants to see the number one recruit end up in his program. Can the Bruins (the rumored favorite for Shabazz) hang tight and weather any recruiting assaults for their main man? It remains to be seen.
