Stay connected for news and updates

With just one game remaining in the 2012 Pac-12 Championship Tournament, it seems the conference has a chance for a bit of a Cinderella story. In Friday's nightcap, the second semifinal of the tournament pitted the No. 2 California Golden Bears against the No. 6 Colorado Buffaloes. In yet another upset in an event full of them, the Buffaloes took and early lead and held on for a 70-59 win.

The Buffaloes took a very slim 28-27 lead into halftime. Cal took the lead immediately after play resumed, but quickly lost it again and never recovered, looking stunned toward the end as they watched the clock dwindle down.

Cal guard Allen Crabbe led all scorers with 18 points in the losing effort. On the Colorado side, both Carlon Brown and Andre Roberson put up 17 points. Austin Dufault scored up another 15 for the Buffaloes.

With the Buffaloes win, the matchup for the 2012 Pac-12 Championship Game is now set.
