The Washington Huskies won the Pac-10 Tournament last year, and followed that up by winning the outright Pac-12 regular season title this year. On Thursday afternoon at Staples Center, they put that No. 1 seed to the test, facing the No. 9 Oregon State Beavers in the quarterfinals of the 2012 Pac-12 Tournament in downtown Los Angeles.
The Beavers had an up and down day on Wednesday. They opened a 24-8 lead over the No. 8 seed Washington State Cougars but trailed at halftime, then rallied for the 69-64 win with a second half run.
