UCLA Vs. Washington State Final Score: Joshua Smith Leads Bruins To 63-60 Win

Joshua Smith scored 19 points, leading the UCLA Bruins to a 63-60 win over the Washington State Cougars at Beasley Coliseum at Pullman, Washington on Saturday afternoon. Smith scored six straight points in an 8-0 UCLA run in the final minutes of the game, turning a 51-50 deficit into a seven-point Bruins lead. UCLA has won 19 straight games in Pullman.

Smith made eight of nine shots from the field and grabbed five rebounds in 22 minutes. During the weekend in Washington, Smith scored 45 points in two games and made 17 of 22 field goals (77.3%).

Lazeric Jones scored 15 points, had four rebounds, and four assists for UCLA (13-10, 6-5), which gained a split in Washington and picked up their first win against a Division I team outside of the Los Angeles area all season. David Wear added 15 points and six rebounds for the Bruins.

Brock Motum scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Cougars, though he had just six points after halftime. Abe Lodwick had 11 points and seven rebounds, and Mike Ladd added 10 for Washington State (12-11, 4-7).

UCLA returns home next weekend to host the Bay Area schools, beginning Thursday night against Stanford at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.
