UCLA has won 19 straight games in Pullman against Washington State.
Joshua Smith scored 19 points, leading the UCLA Bruins to a 63-60 win over the Washington State Cougars at Beasley Coliseum at Pullman, Washington on Saturday afternoon. Smith scored six straight points in an 8-0 UCLA run in the final minutes of the game, turning a 51-50 deficit into a seven-point Bruins lead. UCLA has won 19 straight games in Pullman.
Smith made eight of nine shots from the field and grabbed five rebounds in 22 minutes. During the weekend in Washington, Smith scored 45 points in two games and made 17 of 22 field goals (77.3%).
Lazeric Jones scored 15 points, had four rebounds, and four assists for UCLA (13-10, 6-5), which gained a split in Washington and picked up their first win against a Division I team outside of the Los Angeles area all season. David Wear added 15 points and six rebounds for the Bruins.
Brock Motum scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Cougars, though he had just six points after halftime. Abe Lodwick had 11 points and seven rebounds, and Mike Ladd added 10 for Washington State (12-11, 4-7).
UCLA returns home next weekend to host the Bay Area schools, beginning Thursday night against Stanford at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.

The Washington State Cougars used an 11-4 run to take a 34-29 halftime lead over the UCLA Bruins on Saturday afternoon at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman, Washington. Brock Motum scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds in the first half to lead Washington State, who shot 45.5% from the field. Motum made six of 10 field goals, including two of three from three-point range.
UCLA again got good production out of center Joshua Smith, who scored 11 points and made all five field goals in the first half. The rest of the Bruins made just six of 23 shots from the field (26.1%). The Bruins led 25-23 with 4:29 remaining in the first half before Washington State made their run.
The Bruins have won 18 straight games in Pullman, with their last road loss to Washington State coming on February 6, 1993.

The Bruins let a 10-point lead slip away on Thursday night in Seattle, dropping a heartbreaker 71-69 to the Washington Huskies.
Joshua Smith scored a season-high 24 points for the Bruins in the loss Thursday night to go along with nine rebounds. The Bruins will need Smith to produce on Saturday as they are expected to be without forward Travis Wear, who suffered a high ankle sprain on Thursday, according to Peter Yoon of ESPN Los Angeles.
Washington State (12-10, 4-6) is 9-1 this season, including a 53-46 win Thursday night over the USC Trojans. The Bruins have won five straight games against the Cougars, and are 45-11 all-time on the road at Washington State. In their last meeting at Pullman, UCLA defeated WSU 58-54 in overtime on March 5, 2011.

Pac-12 College Basketball Standings: Washington Sweeps UCLA, USC, All Alone In First Place
The Washington Huskies completed a home sweep of the UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans to take sole possession of first place in the Pac-12 Conference. The Huskies were down 10 points to the Bruins with six minutes remaining on Thursday night, but ended the game on a 16-4 run. Washington has won five straight games.
The top three teams in the conference all hit the road next week, so the standings could be even tighter at the close of play next week.
UCLA and USC host the Bay Area schools in Los Angeles next weekend.
