The California Bears this week did something they hadn't done for 53 seasons, and as a result will end the week in first place in the Pac-12 Conference. Cal (20-6, 10-3) vaulted into the top spot in the conference college basketball standings thanks to coming into Los Angeles and sweeping the USC Trojans and UCLA Bruins.
The Bears completed a season sweep of both the Bruins and Trojans, winning all four games against both schools for the first time since th 1958-1959 season. Cal enters play on Sunday a half-game up on the Washington Huskies in the Pac-12.
Here are the Pac-12 standings through games of Saturday, with a pair of games on the docket for Sunday. The USC Trojans host the Stanford Cardinal at Galen Center on Sunday afternoon, preceded by Washington looking to keep pace with Cal with a road battle at Oregon State.
