The USC Trojans and UCLA Bruins know that they'll be playing their rivalry game either in the afternoon on FOX or in the early evening on ABC.
If they hold on and win this week, the USC Trojans and UCLA Bruins could be facing off for the right to win the Pac-12 South next weekend. When the game is played has yet to be announced, although we do have a general idea of the two potential time slots.
Currently, USC vs. UCLA and Stanford vs. Oregon are looking like the two biggest games. The winners of each game figure to have the inside track (and might even clinch) a berth in the Pac-12 championship. There are currently two premium TV slots available for telecasts that week: the noon telecast on FOX, or the 5 p.m. broadcast on ABC. Those games figure to be slotted into those two slots.
Depending on the results of this week, it's likely that ABC will have first pickings and go with the matchup likely to be of the greatest national importance. As of today, it seems like USC vs. UCLA will be the FOX matchup unless there's a big upset this weekend concerning Oregon.
