The No. 17-ranked Bruins are actually the favorites in their season finale matchup against the No. 8 ranked Stanford Cardinal.
The UCLA Bruins are slight favorites for their final regular-season game of 2012 this Saturday against Stanford with the oddsmakers giving them a 1.5-point edge.
The Bruins have won their last five games and have averaged 48.3 points in their four most recent contests. But while they're coming off a huge 38-28 win over USC, you could argue that Stanford has even more momentum.
The Cardinal have won five straight too, but their latest victory, a 17-14 OT win over Oregon, was easily the most shocking upset in the Pac-12 this season. Incredibly, Stanford held the Ducks' high-flying offense to just 14 points, their lowest total since they put up eight in their season-opening loss to Boise State back in 2009.
If Stanford beats the Bruins on their home turf, the Pac-12 championship the next week will be a rematch of this very matchup. But if the Bruins are victorious, the Ducks will have a chance to get back into the conference title game.
This California school duel can be viewed on Fox with kickoff currently scheduled for 3:30 p.m. PT on Saturday.
