UCLA Vs. Utah Final Score: Bruins Dominate Utes, 76-49

The UCLA Bruins snapped a two-game losing streak Thursday night, blowing out the Utah Utes 76-49 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena in the first ever Pac-12 Conference meeting between the two schools. The Bruins led by as many as 36 points in the second half as they evened their conference record at 4-4.

Joshua Smith led a balanced scoring attack for UCLA (11-9, 4-4) with 14 points, one of four Bruins in double figures on the night. Smith made five of his six field goal attempts and grabbed five rebounds in his 18 minutes. Jerime Anderson and David Wear each scored 13 points for UCLA, who shot 58.7% on the night, and outrebounded Utah 34-23.

Chris Hines scored 13 points to lead Utah (5-15, 2-6), the only Ute to score in double figures. Utah shot 37% on the night.

The Bruins had 19 assists on 27 field goals made on the night, led by Lazeric Jones, who had six assists to go with his seven points. UCLA ends the first half of their conference schedule on Saturday afternoon, hosting the Colorado Buffaloes at the Sports Arena.

UCLA Vs. Utah Game Score: Joshua Smith Scores Nine Points, Bruins Lead 36-21 At Halftime

The UCLA Bruins ended the first half on a 25-10 run to take a 36-21 lead over the Utah Utes at halftime at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. Center Joshua Smith led the Bruins in the first half with nine points, making three of his four shots from the field. This is the first matchup between the two schools since the 1983 NCAA Tournament.

David Wear rebounded from his left knee injury to score seven points and grab five rebounds in the first half. Twin brother Travis Wear added four points for UCLA, who shot 48.1% (13 for 27) in the first half. The Bruins had nine assists, led by Lazeric Jones with three, and just two turnovers in the opening half.

Chris Hines led the Utes with eight points, and was the only Utah player to score more than three points in the first half. Utah shot just 34.8% (eight for 23) in the opening 20 minutes. Guard Cedric Martin didn't score a point for the Utes, but led the team with five rebounds in the first half.

The UCLA Bruins look to snap their two-game losing streak as they return home Thursday night to battle the Utah Utes at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. UCLA has won seven consecutive home games, and is 8-3 at home this season, including 4-3 at the Sports Arena. Here are the relevant details of Thursday night's contest:

Records: UCLA (10-9, 3-4 in the Pac-12); Utah (5-14, 2-5)

Location: Los Angeles Sports Arena

Time: 7:30 p.m. PST

TV: Prime Ticket, with Joel Meyers, Don MacLean, and Courtney Jones on the call.

Series History: The all-time series between the two schools isn't much of one, as this is the first season for Utah in the Pac-12 Conference. The Bruins and Utes have split eight games, but they haven't played one another in 29 years. In their last meeting, the No. 10 seed Utah upset the No. 2 seed UCLA 67-61 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Injury Report: UCLA forward David Wear left Saturday's game at Oregon with a left knee injury. MRI results came back negative, showing no significant injury, and Wear is probable for Thursday's game. Wear leads the Bruins in rebounding this season at 6.4 boards per game, and in Pac-12 play is averaging 11.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per contest.
