UCLA has beaten Oregon State 13 straight times.
The UCLA Bruins look for their fifth straight win and a season sweep of Oregon State as they host the Beavers at Pauley Pavilion. The Bruins have won four straight and eight of their last nine games, and are only a game behind Arizona for the Pac-10 lead. UCLA beat Oregon State 62-57 in Corvallis on January 13.
Malcolm Lee is used to playing lockdown defense, but on Thursday against Oregon he broke out on the offensive end, scoring a season-high 25 points in the win over the Ducks. In the last meeting between these two clubs, on January 13, Reeves Nelson and Lazeric Jones had 13 points each to lead the Bruins. UCLA has defeated Oregon State 12 straight times overall.
Reserve sophomore forward Brendan Lane missed Thursday's win over Oregon after his grandmother died last weekend, but Lane is expected to be available for today's game. Lane is averaging 3.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 18.7 minutes per game this season. UCLA is 13-2 at home this season, including 5-1 at Pauley Pavilion in conference play. The Beavers have lost seven straight road games, and is 0-5 on the road in Pac-10 play.

UCLA Defeats Oregon State Behind Tyler Honeycutt's Eight Blocks
Les by a stifling defense that featured a season-high 16 blocked shots, the UCLA Bruins dispatched the Oregon State Beavers 69-61 at Pauley Pavilion on Saturday afternoon. It was the fifth straight win for UCLA, who has won nine of its last 10 games. The Bruins completed the season sweep of the Beavers, whom they have beaten 13 straight times.
Malcolm Lee led the Bruins with 19 points, and should be a leading candidate for Pac-10 Player of the Week. Lee hit six of nine field goals and all six of his free throws before fouling out, two days after scoring a season-high 25 points in Thursday's win over Oregon. In UCLA's sweep of the Oregon schools in Los Angeles this weekend, Lee averaged 22.0 points per game and shot 57.1% from the field.
Tyler Honeycutt, another Player of the Week candidate, led the block party for UCLA with a career-high eight swats. Honeycutt had a solid all-around game, with nine points, five rebounds, and five assists to go with his eight blocks. The eight blocks are the most in the Pac-10 this season.
UCLA got off to a great start today, leading 24-6 as the Beavers made just two of their first 18 field goal attempts. Oregon State clawed back to within five at halftime, trailing 29-24 at the break, but poor shooting and UCLA's defense ended any hopes of a comeback. Oregon State shot just 32.9% for the game. The Bruins travel to the Bay Area next weekend, beginning with a Thursday night contest against Stanford.
