The UCLA Bruins football team on the field is busy preparing for facing the Oregon Ducks in the inaugural Pac-12 Championship Game on Friday night in Eugene. The Bruins are massive 31-point underdogs in Rick Neuheisel's final game as Bruins' head coach.
Off the field, the Bruins are searching for a new coach, and their top candidate is Chris Petersen of the Boise State Broncos. However, Boise State on Thursday hired new athletic director Mark Coyle, who said his first order of business was to keep Petersen in house.
It appears Coyle may get his wish, at least as far as UCLA is concerned. Per Joe Schad of ESPN:
