UCLA Basketball Attendance: 34 Students Show Up For Pepperdine Game

Stay connected for news and updates

The proud tradition of UCLA Bruins basketball seems stuck in Pauley Pavilion this season. With the Bruins struggling to win in the Sports Arena, you get days like this.

Thirty-four students made the 17-mile trek from campus to UCLA's temporary home in time for tipoff. An announced crowd generously listed at 3,885 left the cavernous upper bowl almost entirely empty. And the atmosphere was so lifeless in the opening minutes of a low-scoring first half that one fed-up fan seated across from the UCLA bench could be heard shouting sarcastically, "Beautiful basketball, Ben."

But hey, they beat Pepperdine!
