2011 Maui Invitational Tournament Update: UCLA Bruins Lead Chaminade Silverswords 40-38 At Halftime

The UCLA Bruins and Chaminade Silverswords are locked in a close battle at halftime during the 2011 Maui Invitational Tournament. The Bruins, who have lost two straight games, enter halftime with a 40-38 lead and a chance to record their first win of the season.

The Bruins got 30 points from their starters in the game's opening half, led by guard Tyler Lamb (10 points). UCLA shot 45.2% as a team (14-of-31) and only 21.4% from three-point land (3-of-14).

The Silverswords, meanwhile, have been more than twice as successful from deep. Chaminade is shooting 42.9% from three-point range (3-of-7) and 40.7% on the game (11-of-27). Guard Waly Coulibaly leads the team with 8 points.

The Bruins have been more dominant in rebounds (22 to 13), assists (9 to 5) and blocks (5 to 0) but find themselves ahead by only two points at halftime.
