UCLA Vs. WSU: Bruins Trail 3-0 After First Quarter

Stay connected for news and updates

After one quarter, the UCLA Bruins trail the WSU Cougars by the difference of a field goal.

UCLA, who defeated the Cougars by 14 points the last time that WSU traveled to the Rose Bowl, is still waiting for their offense to show up. After fifteen minutes of regulation play, the Bruins have scored a grand total of zero first downs and a whopping 12 total yards.

UCLA has held possession of the ball for under three minutes. If there is a silver lining to be found in the early portion of this game, it is that the Bruins have been able to hold the Cougars to just a field goal. UCLA will need to perform markedly better throughout the rest of the game unless they want WSU to emerge from this game being 2-0 in Pac-12 play.

Bruins quarterback Richard Brehaut has completed two passes, which account for UCLA's six yards of offense.
