While the Cardinal are preparing to win the game, Stanford is also having some fun in the leadup to the 2013 Rose Bowl.

Every team approaches the preparation for a big game differently. Some are all business while others try to keep things loose. Stanford has done a combination of both, practicing hard but also enjoying themselves.

The Cardinal began the week leading up to the game by taking a trip to Disneyland as a team. Players spent several hours in the theme park. Disneyland was far from the only entertainment, however, as the team attended Thursday's game at the Staples Center between the Los Angeles Clippers and Boston Celtics. Friday they were schedule to take in a comedy show.

The week also included the famous Lawry's Beef Bowl in which the players were free to eat as much prime rib as they could stomach. Freshman offensive lineman Josh Garnett paced the group by eating seven portions.

While all of that makes for a great experience and a lot of fun, the Cardinal have also been practicing hard. Stanford held a two-hour practice on Friday in which the team wore full pads. Offensive lineman David Yankey said the team is enjoying the experience, but at the end of the day they are there to work.
