Pau Gasol Trade Rumors: Minnesota Timberwolves Aim For Lakers PF

Pau Gasol will be involved in a multitude of trade rumors this offseason until he's traded. Gasol just doesn't seem to fit what Los Angeles needs, and the Lakers need to find more players that fill their roles better.

Gasol and the Minnesota Timberwolves have long been rumored a popular match. Gasol and Kevin Love would be a powerful force in the middle, Gasol should team up well with his Spanish buddy Ricky Rubio, and the Timberwolves have the assets that Los Angeles would want to make this deal work. Jerry Zgoda of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune has this report.

The Wolves remain interested in acquiring veteran Lakers forward Pau Gasol and also have had free-agent discussions with guards Jamal Crawford, Lou Williams and Alexey Shved.

Would Los Angeles would be willing to deal away a prospect like Derrick Williams to land Gasol? Time will tell.

Jordan Hill also visited Minnesota. Not quite as big a deal though.

Talk about Gasol with Lakers fans by going over to Silver Screen and Roll. Discuss Gasol with Timberwolves fans by going to Canis Hoopus.
