Even though the complete schedule won't be released until later on Thursday, there still have been some 'highlights' leaked to the media, including the Orange County Register's Kevin Ding, who is reporting a Christmas matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks at the Staples Center amongst a few other top games on the 2012-13 docket.

The new-look Lake Show will open the season on October 30 with a matchup with the Dallas Mavericks, and have a pair of matchups against the Oklahoma City Thunder on December 7 and March 5 in Oklahoma City and at the Staples Center in L.A. on January 11 and 27. In between those games the Lakers will have a meeting with the defending champion Miami Heat on January 17.

The entire NBA schedule is set to be released at 4 p.m. PT this evening on a special televised event on NBA TV.
