There was a rumor that free agent power forward Antwan Jamison would have been signed by the Los Angeles Lakers. But it hasn't been confirmed quite yet. In fact, it doesn't seem to have quite gotten off the ground yet.
Just talked to Mitch Kupchak about Antawn Jamison. He acknowledged interest but said: "We're not about to do anything. I would know."

Jamison is still a productive power forward and could be very useful off the bench to back up Pau Gasol and fill in the bigs with Jordan Hill. But there could be some big troubles with the salary cap, as Jamison would probably only be able to be signed for the veteran's minimum. Compared to the production he would put up off the bench, that is probably not financially the best plan for him.
Still, expect Jamison to give the Lakers a chance if he ever gets the ability to talk with him.
