2012 NBA Free Agents: New York Knicks Could Use Matt Barnes

The Los Angeles Lakers have a bunch of free agents this offseason, none of whom are really high priority other than Ramon Sessions (neither Jordan Hill nor Troy Murphy are big-time players they must bring back to their team). If there's anyone the Lakers might consider retaining, it's swing man Matt Barnes, who has proven to be a strong defender and a solid perimeter threat. Unfortunately, his three point shot deserted him, making him offensively useless for most of the playoffs.

With the New York Knicks potentially in a similar state of flux, Barnes could be a useful player to provide a solid backup defender or attacker.

Check out what Lakers fans think about Barnes by going to Silver Screen and Roll. Talk to Barnes with Knicks fans over at Posting and Toasting.
