Andrew Bynum Injury: Lakers Center Sprains Ankle Vs. Warriors

The first three words of this title are words Los Angeles Lakers fans never want to see, but Andrew Bynum did hurt himself against the Golden State Warriors. Bynum got hurt when he landed on the foot of fellow Laker forward Josh McRoberts, and he had to go to the locker room to get treatment.

Bynum's injury is probably not too serious though, but he didn't return to action in tonight's game. Arash Markazi of ESPN Los Angeles filed this report.

The Los Angeles Lakers said center Andrew Bynum suffered a moderately sprained left ankle in the first quarter of the team's game against the Golden State Warriors.

The team said X-rays on the ankle were negative, but Bynum won't return to Sunday night's game at Staples Center. He will be re-evaluated on Monday.

The Lakers can't afford to lose Bynum. Without him they downgrade from veteran playoff contender to merely average squad that would be highly unlikely to make a deep run at anything. The Lakers need Bynum to get back on the court as soon as possible, but considering how secure they are in their playoff positioning
