Lakers Vs. Jazz Final Score: L.A. Win Streak Snapped By Utah In 103-99 Loss

Stay connected for news and updates

The Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Utah Jazz on Sunday night in search of their sixth straight victory and their 20th win at the Staples Center. Alas, even with a home record as dominant as the Lakers' has been in the 2011-12 season, it is a tall order to be able to win them all. The Lakers fell behind early and ended up taking the 103-99 loss.

The Jazz outscored the Lakers in the first quarter and held a slim 45-44 lead entering halftime. They once again outscored the home team 30-25 in the third quarter and led late in the game. Despite a late flurry that brought the Lakers close in the final minutes, Utah held on for the win.

Andrew Bynum was outstanding for the Lakers, leading all scorers with 33 points and securing the double-double with 11 rebounds. Kobe Bryant had just 15 points, shooting a mere 3-for-20 from the floor.
