Lakers Vs. Knicks Final Score: Jeremy Lin Scores Career High 38 In 92-85 Win Over Kobe Bryant, Lakers

On Thursday in Boston, Kobe Bryant he hadn't seen or paid attention to how Jeremy Lin was doing. On Friday night, Kobe got an up close and personal view of Lin absolutely destroying the Los Angeles Lakers with 38 points en route to a 92-85 New York Knicks win at Madison Square Garden.

The loss snapped a nine-game winning streak by the Lakers over the Knicks, with their last loss coming on February 13, 2007.

Bryant wasn't too shabby himself with 34 points and 10 rebounds, but the story of the night was Lin, who had the home crowd on its feet on several occasions.

Lin made 13 of 23 from the field and 10 of 13 from the free throw line, and also dished out seven assists to lead the Knicks (12-15), who were without Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire.

Pau Gasol had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Lakers, who shot just 37.5% on the night. Andrew Bynum had 13 rebounds and three blocks in 35 minutes, but scored just three points on 1-of-8 shooting. The Lakers fell to 2-3 on their six-game road trip, which concludes Sunday afternoon in Toronto. The Lakers are 4-10 on the road this season.

Jeremy Lin has taken over the sports world in the last few days, and he officially had his coming out party on Friday night as the Knicks battled the Lakers on ESPN. While some of the signs have been creative and fun, one fan took it to a different level. And that isn't a good thing. We have a photo after the jump.

Lakers Vs. Knicks, NBA Preivew: Linsanity Faces the Black Mamba at Madison Square Garden

The Los Angeles Lakers are fresh off an exhilarating win against the Boston Celtics in overtime at the TD Garden Thursday night, and now head to Madison Square Garden to face the New York Knicks, and upstart point guard Jeremy Lin.

Lin has been the lynchpin of the Knicks (11-15) recent success, averaging 25.3 points 8.3 assists in the three starts he's received with the injury plagued Knicks, all victories for New York. Head coach Mike D'Antoni has been making the most of his squad, which will once again be without the services of Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire. They will certainly have their hands full though as the Knicks haven't beaten the Lakers (15-11) at home in over five years.

As for Kobe Bryant, the league's leading scorer at 29.2 points per game, comes in averaging 33.4 points against the Knicks over their last nine games (all Lakers wins), including an even 40.0 points in his last four visits to the Garden. In regards to Lin, Kobe hadn't been paying much attention to him. He might start to take notice this evening.

Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m. PT, with coverage on ESPN.
