New Los Angeles Lakers big man Dwight Howard's back may not be 100 percent, but that doesn't mean he will miss time in early regular season games. Head coach Mike Brown has said Howard's floor time will not be limited, according to insidesocal.com.

Howard underwent surgery on his back in April to deal with a herniated disk. He has been taking it easy in the preseason, playing in just two games. After being cautious in October, it appears that he will be ready to go when the games start counting.

The Lakers are hoping Howard can continue the same production that made him such a high-profile offseason acquisition. The 6'11 center has averaged 18.4 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game in his eight-year NBA career. He came to Los Angeles in a blockbuster four-team trade back in August.

Los Angeles kicks off the regular season on Tuesday night against the Dallas Mavericks.
