The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Utah Jazz 114-80 Tuesday, dropping Los Angeles to 0-4 in the preseason.

The Utah Jazz blew out the Los Angeles Lakers 114-80 Tuesday night, dropping the Lakers to 0-4 in the preseason.

Utah jumped on the Lakers early, taking a 26-15 lead after the first quarter and a 52-32 lead at halftime. The Jazz extended their lead to 88-56 after the third quarter, despite Kobe Bryant's best efforts. Bryant scored 23 points during the third quarter. He made 9-of-11 shots in the quarter including 3-of-4 3-point attempts. Unfortunately, for the Lakers, he didn't have much help. The rest of the Lakers combined to shoot 0-of-7 in the quarter, scoring just one point on a Steve Blake free throw.

Bryant played 29 minutes and finished with 31 points on 10-of-18 shooting. While he was effective from 3-point range, making 4-of-6, his teammates struggled. The rest of the team combined to shoot 5-of-16 on 3-point attempts. Steve Nash played the entire first quarter, scoring two points while dishing out one assist, but did not play in the rest of the game. Dwight Howard did not play in the game as he continues to recover from back surgery.

The Lakers will have a short break in the schedule before returning to the court on Friday against Sacramento.
