Hill sat out Tuesday's practice and there is no timetable for his return to action, but the power forward doesn't seem too concerned about his back injury.

Los Angeles Lakers power forward Jordan Hill was diagnosed with a herniated disc on Monday, but the 25-year-old doesn't think the injury is too serious, according to the team's official blog.

Hill, who sat out Tuesday's practice, isn't sure exactly when he suffered the injury, but he doesn't appear to be overly worried about it.

Via the Lakers' blog:

"It wasn't really that much pain, but it was just the feeling I had never had before, so I just wanted to check it and make sure to see if it was OK," he said. "The MRI showed something was wrong with it, but not too serious."

Losing Hill for an extended period of time would be a big blow to the Lakers' depth at power forward, but head coach Mike Brown is optimistic that his team can adjust in Hill's absence.

He told the Lakers blog:

"We can slide Antawn (Jamison) to the four, obviously Pau (Gasol) will start at the four and Earl Clark can play the four, too, so we have plenty of bodies we can play there."

The Lakers next preseason game is Saturday against the Utah Jazz at Staples Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm. PT.
