The Staples Center gave a sneak peak at its tenants' new floors on Tuesday, and the Lakers court has a new feature honoring the past.

The Lakers and Clippers will be getting new floors for the 2012-13 NBA season, and the Staples Center gave a preview of the designs on Tuesday. The Lakers' floor will feature a ring around center court commemorating the franchise's 16 NBA championships, according to the Orange Country Register.

The Lakers have also changed the font on their logo underneath the baskets, replacing block letters with the trademarked "Lakers" script. Other changes include white-painted key lines, instead of yellow. The 3-point line appears to be black instead of purple as in years past.

The Clippers' court doesn't appear to have gone through any radical changes, with just the color of the three-point line black instead of blue.

The new courts will get their first use when the Lakers host the Utah Jazz in preseason action on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. PT. The Jazz get to break in the Clippers' freshly painted hardwood as well, when the two teams meet next Wednesday, Oct. 17.
