Lakers Rookie Andrew Goudelock Hospitalized For Dehydration, Cleared To Play In Milwaukee

Los Angeles Lakers rookie Andrew Goudelock, who scored a career-high 14 points in Wednesday's win over the Los Angeles Clippers, spent Friday night in a Milwaukee hospital and was treated for dehydration, per Mike Trudell of NBA.com. However, the guard has been cleared to play Saturday night against the Milwaukee Bucks.

"I got real hot and I started sweating profusely. I knew something was up," Goudelock told Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles TImes.

Goudelock, a 6'3" guard whom the Lakers drafted in the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft out of the College of Charleston, made five of eight field goals on Wednesday against the Clippers en route to scoring 14 points in 20 minutes. It was the first game in which Goudelock played at least 10 minutes since the opening game of the season on Christmas against the Chicago Bulls.

In 11 games this season, Goudelock is averaging 2.2 points per contest while shooting 34.8% from the field.

Saturday night's 5:30 p.m. PST contest will be televised by KCAL. For more news and information on Lakers basketball, be sure to read Silver Screen and Roll.
