Phil Jackson On Lakers: "They Took The [All-Star] Break Before The Game"

Stay connected for news and updates

The Los Angeles Lakers lost tonight to the Cleveland Cavaliers, a team they beat by 55 points back in January. The third straight loss for the Lakers became just the 10th win of the season for the Cavaliers. All you need to know about this game can be summed up in the reaction from two Hall of Famers.

When asked on the KCAL postgame show if the Lakers, who have struggled, need the four-day NBA All-Star break, head coach Phil Jackson said, "I think they took the break before the game."

Former Laker James Worthy, in studio as an analyst, was even more blunt: "They quit. They quit on this road trip somewhere after Orlando. They just flat out quit, and you can see the frustration amongst them."

The Lakers next game is next Tuesday against the Atlanta Hawks at Staples Center.
