As the Los Angeles Lakers prepare for their final game of the preseason, against the Golden State Warriors at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California, they will be without their head coach for the second straight night, per Mike Trudell of Lakers.com:
Phil Jackson (flu-like symptoms) will not be in Ontario to coach the Lakers tonight; Brian Shaw will again pinch hit.
Shaw coached the Lakers last night in their 120-99 victory over the Warriors in San Diego. Here is a look at the probable starters, plus injury reports for both teams.
Warriors
Stephen Curry will not play tonight, after spraining his right ankle in last night's game. Louis Amundson (fractured index finger) and Ekpe Udoh (left wrist surgery) are also out.
Lakers
Point Guard: Derek Fisher
Shooting Guard: Kobe Bryant (back after his night off last night)
Small Forward: Ron Artest
Power Forward: Lamar Odom
Center: Pau Gasol
Luke Walton, who played 11 minutes last night in his first action this preseason, is listed as probable. Derrick Caracter, who has missed the last three games, is doubtful with back spasms.
Tonight's 7 p.m. PDT game will be televised on KCAL and ESPN.
