The Los Angeles Kings knew that their first-ever Stanley Cup win was in large part due to outstanding young goalie Jonathan Quick, so their most pressing bit of business as the offseason got underway was to sign the Conn Smythe Trophy winner to a new 10-year extension. Quick was already under contract for 2012-13, but the Kings wanted to make sure it wouldn't be an issue during the next offseason.
The Kings have been active in securing impending free agents, as they signed Colin Fraser to a two-year deal and Jarret Stoll to a three-year deal. Free agency opens on Sunday and the Kings only have two more players who will be hitting the open market.
Here is the full list of free agents who ended the 2011-12 season as members of the Los Angeles Kings. Both skaters are unrestricted free agents.
