Kings Vs. Coyotes, NHL Playoffs 2012 Game 3 Final Score: Dwight King Scores Go-Ahead Goal In 2-1 Win

Dwight King continued to torment the Phoenix Coyotes Thursday night. King's goal at 1:47 of the third period was the difference as the Los Angeles Kings beat Phoenix 2-1 in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.

The Kings are 11-1 during the postseason, and are one win away from their second berth in the Stanley Cup Finals, and first in 19 years.

King's goal was his fourth goal of the series and came on a delayed penalty, with assists to Trevor Lewis and Jarret Stoll. Anze Kopitar also scored in the game, his second of the series and fifth goal of the postseason.

Phoenix pulled goalie Mike Smith with 1:05 remaining for an extra attacker on offense, but the Coyotes were unable to score the equalizer.

Jonathan Quick saved 18 of 19 shots for the Kings in the win, and has allowed just three goals in three games during the series. The Kings outshot the Coyotes 28-19 on the night, including a 13-4 advantage in the third period.

The Kings will try to close out the Coyotes with a win in Game 4, scheduled for noon on Sunday at Staples Center, where they are 4-1 this postseason.
