The Phoenix Coyotes put pressure on the Los Angeles Kings for most of the first 20 minutes, but after the first period of Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals, the two teams are in a scoreless tie at Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.
After capturing the first two games on the road by being the aggressors, the Kings found themselves on the other end of the spectrum in the first period of Game 3, as the Coyotes held an 11-8 shot advantage. Los Angeles took 87 shots in the first two games of the series, compared to just 51 for Phoenix.
The Coyotes won 67% of the faceoffs against the Kings in the first 20 minutes.
