Kings Vs. Canucks, Game 3 Score Update: Still No Score After 2nd Period

Stay connected for news and updates

The Los Angeles Kings and the Vancouver Canucks are locked in a heated battle at the Staples Center on Sunday night. The Kings hold a 2-0 lead in this first-round best-of-seven series in the 2012 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs. The third game is very hotly contested, with neither team willing to give an inch and the Kings playing fabulous defense. At the second intermission, there is no score.

The Canucks are far outshooting the Kings thus far. Through the first two periods, the Canucks have taken 25 shots on goal. Kings goalie Quick has been busy but has saved them all so far. By contrast, Los Angeles has taken just 11 shots on goal.

Only one period remains in regulation. The Kings will have to turn up the offense and get a shot to find the net if they want to avoid sudden death.
