NHL Playoffs 2012, Kings Vs. Canucks: 2-0 Lead Would Be Rare For L.A.

The Los Angeles Kings look for a repeat of Game 1 on Friday night as they battle the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena in Game 2 of their first round NHL playoff series. The Kings haven't won a playoff series since 2001, but if they are able to win on Friday night, that would be their first 2-0 lead in the NHL playoffs since way back in 1976:

The Kings beat the Atlanta Flames 2-0 in the first round in 1976, and they held a 2-0 lead over the Minnesota North Stars in 1968 in a series the Kings, in their first year of existence, would lose in seven games.
