Kings Vs. Panthers Final Score: Scott Clemmensen Beats L.A. 3-1

A pair of second period goals lifted the Florida Panthers to a 3-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings Thursday night at BankAtlantic Center. Scott Clemmensen saved 22 of 23 shots he faced in the win for Florida for the win. It was the seventh time the Kings have been shutout this season.

Jonathan Quick was pulled after two periods after giving up two goals in 11 shots, one to Sean Bergenheim and one to Mike Santorelli. The game was a defensive struggle all game, as the Kings managed only 23 shots on goal and the Panthers only had 22.

Jonathan Bernier saved all 11 shots he faced in the third period for the Kings. Drew Doughty scored an empty net goal at 17:32 of the third period to pull the Kings to within 2-1. Matt Bradley added an empty net goal for Florida with 49 seconds remaining to provide the final advantage.

The Kings have scored just five goals in the first four games of their six-game, 10-day road trip. Los Angeles has scored an NHL-worst 119 goals in 55 games this season, an average of just 2.16 goals per contest.

The Kings continue their road trip Saturday night facing the New York Islanders.
