Kings Vs. Hurricanes: LA Looking To Get 6-Game Road Trip Back On Track

The Los Angeles Kings are looking to get their six-game road trip back on track against the Carolina Hurricanes tonight.

The Los Angeles Kings will look to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to the St. Louis Blues in Raleigh, North Carolina tonight at 4 p.m. against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Kings head into their Saturday afternoon matchup with a 25-17-10 record and their 60 points currently place them in seventh place in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Hurricanes have a 19-25-9 record and their 47 points place them in last place in the Eastern Conference. This is the second game of a six-game road streak that take the Kings to Florida to play the Lightning and Panthers, to New York to play the Islanders and to Texas to play the Stars before they return home.

The Kings are led by in points and goals by center Anze Kopitar and goalie Jonathan Quick has a 1.91 goals against average. The Hurricanes are led in points by center Eric Staal, in goals by center Tuomo Ruutu and goalie Cam Ward has a goals against average of 2.80.

Before the Kings were shut out in St. Louis, they had picked up at least a point in seven straight road games and will look to do the same tonight. They have won three straight against the Hurricanes but may have a tough time extending that streak to four as Carolina has been tough at home. Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward has a 2.80 against average on the season but in the last five games his average has been 1.19 and in those five games, the team has gone 3-1-1.
