Kings Vs. Islanders: L.A. Looks For Offense On Road Trip

The Kings are 1-3-0 in the first four games of their six-game road trip.

The Los Angeles Kings continue their search for offense on their road trip as they face the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum on Saturday morning. The Kings have scored just five goals in the first four games of their six-game Grammy road trip and they have lost three of four games.

"It's more of the same for us," team captain Dustin Brown told NHL.com. "We've got to find ways to score more goals."

This is the only meeting of the season between the Kings (26-19-10) and Islanders. They split two meetings last season, with each time winning on their home ice. This season, the Islanders (22-23-8) are just 11-12-5 at home, one of only two NHL teams with a losing record at home.

The Kings begin play on Saturday with 62 points, good for seventh place in the Western Conference and four points behind the San Jose Sharks for the Pacific Division lead.

In the first four games of their road trip, Anze Kopitar has two goals and one assist. Justin Williams has two assists in four games, but no other King has more than one point during the trip.

Saturday morning's 10 a.m. PST game will be televised by Fox Sports West. For more news and notes on Kings hockey, be sure to read Jewels From The Crown.
