Kings Vs. Canadiens Final Score: Andrei Kostitsyn, Montreal Top L.A. 2-1

Andrei Kostitsyn had a goal and an assist to lead the Montreal Canadiens to a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center on Saturday afternoon. The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for the Kings, who continued their offensive woes of late.

The Kings have scored just 12 goals in their last seven games, and at 2.31 goals per game rank 26th in the 30-team NHL in scoring. The lone goal for Los Angeles on Saturday came from Dustin Penner, who was just activated off injured reserve after missing nine games. It was his first goal of the season.

Jonathan Bernier started his fifth game of the season in goal for the Kings, and saved 25 of 27 shots, but suffered his third defeat of the year. Carey Price saved 26 of 27 shots for the win for Montreal.

The Kings are off for two days before heading down Interstate 5 to battle the Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center Tuesday night.
