The Los Angeles Dodgers need every win they can get if they want to have a chance at a playoff berth, but the Colorado Rockies look to spoil their plans at Dodgers Stadium Friday night.

Clayton Kershaw (12-9, 2.68 ERA) takes the bump for L.A., fighting through the hip injury that has pained him down the stretch this season. He is 3-0 with a 1.47 ERA over his last six starts against the Rockies in Los Angeles, but struggled in his lone outing against them this season, giving up five runs in 7⅓ innings of an 8-5 loss on May 2.

Colorado will look for their season-high fifth straight win behind Jeff Francis (5-6, 5.54). He got a no decision after allowing two runs in four innings of Sunday's 10-7 loss to Arizona – the team's last loss before their current streak.
