Dodgers Vs. Rockies Game Recap: A.J. Ellis, Hanley Ramirez Lead The Way To 10-8 Victory

Stay connected for news and updates

A.J. Ellis and Hanley Ramirez both homered, Joe Blanton pitched more than seven innings, and the Los Angeles Dodgers avoided being swept by the Colorado Rockies by the score of 10-8 at Coors Field.

Blanton (9-12) lasted 7.1 innings on the night, allowing just three of the Rockies' runs on 10 hits. L.A. had a 10-1 lead in the eighth inning until reliever Shawn Tolleson was tagged for four runs and Randy Choate another, but would turn out just fine thanks to some potent Dodger offense in the Mile High City.

A.J. Ellis finished 2-4 with four RBI, including his 11th homer of the year, while Andre Ethier and Juan Rivera each finished 2-4, as well. Ramirez was 1-5, but that one came in the form of a two-run shot in the third inning, scoring Adrian Gonzalez.

Despite the 10 runs, L.A. was just 3-10 with runners in scoring position.

The Dodgers now head home for a three-game set with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
