Dodgers Vs. Giants Game Preview: Chad Billingsley Goes For Second Straight Win

The Los Angeles Dodgers look for their second straight win on Saturday afternoon as they battle the San Francisco Giants in a divisional battle at AT&T Park. The Dodgers, who were shutout in all three games in San Francisco in June, took the opener Friday night on a 10th inning home run by Hanley Ramirez.

Chad Billingsley gets the start for the Dodgers on Saturday, making his second start since returning from the disabled list after missing two weeks with right elbow inflammation. He allowed one run in six innings in a win on Monday against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Barry Zito has lasted seven innings in each of his last two starts, and looks for his second win against the Dodgers this season. Zito is 1-1 with a 2.08 ERA against Los Angeles this season.

In Friday night's win against the Giants, Shawn Tolleson got the victory in relief for his first major league win. Starting pitcher Stephen Fife doubled in the fifth for his first major league hit, in his second big league start. The last time the Dodgers got a first major league hit and first major league win in the same game, per Elias, was Sept. 8, 1998 when Jeff Kubenka earned the win and Angel Pena got his first hit. The last time it happened in a month other than September was April 24, 1967 (Jim Campanis and Dick Egan).

The Dodgers are 3-4 against the Giants this season.
