Dodgers Vs. Phillies Final Score: L.A. Wins 8-3 To Complete 4-Game Sweep

The Los Angeles Dodgers rallied against Cole Hamels in the sixth inning, then pulled away with four runs in the ninth inning, to complete their four-game sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies with an 8-3 win on Thursday afternoon at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

It was the first four-game sweep for the Dodgers in Philadelphia since May 24-26, 1946.

Jerry Hairston Jr., batting cleanup for the second time in a week and for the second time in his career, had two hits and two RBI for the Dodgers. James Loney added two hits for the second straight day, and Elian Herrera walked twice and scored twice.

Andre Ethier didn't start, but added a two-run double as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning to break open the game. That double snapped an 0-for-17 skid for Ethier.

Aaron Harang allowed three runs in six innings for his fifth win of the season, and the 100th win of his career. Jamey Wright followed with two scoreless innings to hold a one-run lead before the Dodgers broke it open in the ninth.

Shawn Tolleson, who was promoted to the Dodgers on Monday, made his major league debut in the ninth inning but was removed after walking both hitters he faced.

The Dodgers move on to Seattle, where they will conclude their 10-game road trip with a weekend series at Safeco Field against the Mariners.
