Dodgers Vs. Angels Final Score: Erick Aybar, Alberto Callaspo Homer In Halos' 2-1 Win

Erick Aybar hit a solo home run off Kenley Jansen in the top of the ninth inning to give the Los Angeles Angels a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night at Dodger Stadium. It was the second loss in three nights for Jansen, who was pitching on his third straight day.

"I just have to keep attacking and keep pitching, be aggressive," said Jansen. "You have to have a short memory in this game."

Both starters pitched effectively, as C.J. Wilson allowed one run in seven innings and Nathan Eovaldi gave up one run in six frames. Wilson, however, did walk five batters while striking out only three.

LaTroy Hawkins picked up his first win of the season by pitching a scoreless eighth inning. Alberto Callaspo hit a solo home run in the top of the second inning to tie the game, his third of the season.

The Dodgers rallied in the ninth inning off Ernesto Frieri, with runners at first and third with nobody out and then second and third with one out, but Frieri got out of the jam for his sixth save. Frieri has not allowed a run in 17 appearances since joining the Angels.

Both teams are off on Thursday. The Dodgers open a series against the Chicago White Sox on Friday at Dodger Stadium, with Clayton Kershaw and Chris Sale facing off in a battle of top left-handers. The Angels are also home over the weekend, hosting the Arizona Diamondbacks, with Dan Haren and Trevor Cahill on the mound Friday in battle of former A's.

Dodgers Vs. Angels Final Score: Juan Rivera Home Run Wins It For L.A., 5-2

Juan Rivera hit a three-run home run off Jerome Williams in the bottom of the eighth inning Tuesday night to give the Los Angeles Dodgers a 5-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels at Dodger Stadium. The win snapped a five-game home losing streak for the Dodgers, and snapped a 10-game road winning streak for the Angels.

It was the first home run for Rivera against his former team.

The Dodgers scored four in the eighth inning off Williams, who was cruising after seven innings having retired 11 of his last 12 batters. But with two runners on base, Williams was left in the game to face Andre Ethier, who delivered a game-tying RBI single, which was followed by Rivera's home run.

Left-handed reliever Scott Downs was unavailable to pitch to Ethier in the eighth inning because of a pulled side muscle, per Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com.

Albert Pujols went 2-for-5 on Tuesday, his seventh consecutive game with two or more hits, which represents a career high for the slugger.

Aaron Harang allowed two runs in seven innings for the Dodgers, picking up a no-decision. Both runs were unearned, thanks to separate errors by Adam Kennedy and Dee Gordon.

Gordon stole three bases on the night, tying his career high.

C.J. Wilson gets the start for the Angels in the series finale on Wednesday night. Nathan Eovaldi gets the start for the Dodgers.

Dodgers Vs. Angels: Andre Ethier Re-Ups, Juan Uribe Returns To Lineup

The Los Angeles Dodgers look to snap a five-game home losing streak on Tuesday night when they host the Los Angeles Angels in the second game of a three-game series at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers have lost nine of their last 11 home games against the Angels.

Andre Ethier, who signed a five-year, $85 million contract extension earlier on Tuesday, is currently in a 5-for-43 slump since Matt Kemp went on the disabled list a second time. Ethier was 0-for-4 with three strikeouts and an RBI groundout in the series opener on Monday.

"I talked to him last night a little bit about it, to make sure this thing hadn't been bothering him," manager Don Mattingly said before Tuesday's game. "(Ethier said) it's been going on the whole time and it hasn't bothered him. He said he felt right, and was just struggling with his swing."

Juan Uribe gets the start at third base for the Dodgers on Tuesday, one month after his last start and one day after getting activated from the disabled list. "Hopefully we'll get back a little bit more of a dangerous bat, and Juan we feel like is our best defender at third base," Mattingly said. Uribe was hit by a pitch in the ninth inning as a pinch hitter on Monday night.

Here is the starting lineup for the Dodgers on Tuesday:

Gordon SS
Ellis C
Ethier RF
Rivera 1B
Abreu LF
Kennedy 2B
Uribe 3B
Gwynn CF
Harang P

Kenley Jansen allowed the winning run, and RBI single by Albert Pujols with two outs in the top of the ninth inning.

Dee Gordon had two hits, a walk, and a stolen base for the Dodgers, who have now dropped five straight home games after beginning the season winning 21 of their first 26 games at Dodger Stadium.

Angels Vs. Dodgers Final Score: Mike Trout Homers, Steals, Leads Halos To 3-2 Win In L.A.

Mike Trout was 2-for-4 with a home run and two stolen bases Monday night, leading the Los Angeles Angels over the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 at Dodger Stadium. Trout drove in the first two runs for the Angels, then scored the winning run on a single by Albert Pujols in the ninth inning.

Trout homered in the fourth inning off Chris Capuano to pull the Angels within a run, then tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the sixth inning with an RBI single. Trout also stole two bases, making this the fourth game this season that he has had at least one home run and one stolen base in the same game. Trout has 15 steals on the year.

Garrett Richards walked five and allowed two runs on five hits in his five innings of work. One of the runs was unearned, thanks partially to a throwing error by Richards on a pickoff attempt in the first inning. Juan Uribe was activated from the disabled list before Monday's game, but he is not in the starting lineup. Manager Don Mattingly said Uribe, who played three rehab games for Class A Rancho Cucamonga over the weekend, will start the next two days.

Juan Uribe Activated From Disabled List, Dodgers Option Alex Castellanos

After missing 27 games with a left wrist injury, Juan Uribe was activated from the disabled list on Monday by the Los Angeles Dodgers before their game with the Los Angeles Angels. To make room for Uribe, the Dodgers optioned Alex Castellanos back to Triple A.

Uribe is hitting .250/.302/.338 with one home run and 10 RBI in 25 games this season for the Dodgers. Since signing a three-year, $21 million contract before the 2011 season, Uribe has hit just .214/.273/.303 with five home runs in 102 games.

Manager Don Mattingly said last week that Uribe would regain his starting role upon his return, which will push 27-year old rookie Elian Herrera into more of a utility role. Herrera, hitting .295/.386/.364 in 25 games this season, has started games at third base, second base, and center field this season.

Uribe played in three games over the weekend with Class A Rancho Cucamonga on a rehab assignment, going 3-for-10 with a home run and a triple.

Castellanos had three hits in 21 at-bats, including a triple, with seven strikeouts and no walks in 11 games in his first big league stint.
