Dodgers Vs. Astros Final Score: Jerry Hairston, Chris Capuano Lead 5-1 L.A. Win

The Los Angeles continued to get expected unexpected contributions from just about everyone in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Houston Astros at Dodger Stadium, giving them their seventh series win at home this season.

Chris Capuano allowed a leadoff triple to Jose Altuve, who scored on a groundout. But after that, Houston was unable to put up much of a fight against Capuano, who struck out eight in seven innings while allowing just two hits and two walks. Capuano picked up his seventh win of the season, and has allowed five total runs in five home starts this season.

His catcher, Matt Treanor, homered for the second consecutive game, as part of his 2-for-3 day. Treanor has a six-game hitting streak, with each of those games a start by Capuano.

Jerry Hairston Jr. batted third on Sunday for the first time in his career, part of an ongoing series of interesting lineups by manager Don Mattingly with four regulars out, including Matt Kemp. Hairston responded by collecting five hits, the first five-hit game of his career.

Tony Gwynn Jr. had a pair of RBI singles and is hitting .480 (12-for-25) with runners in scoring position this season. Gwynn also stole two bases, as did Dee Gordon, who was 2-for-2 with a walk, and has a five-game hitting streak.

The Dodgers are now 21-5 at home this season, and welcome the Milwaukee Brewers to town beginning Monday for a four-game series.
