Matt Kemp Has Left Hamstring Injury, Out Of Dodgers Lineup

Stay connected for news and updates

Matt Kemp is going to be taking some time to heal and will sit out at least tonight's game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Kemp injured his hamstring against the Colorado Rockies yesterday, and that might keep him out for a spell.

Don't expect Kemp's absence to be long-lasting. Kemp had this to say on the injury:

"I haven't been able to play like I want to play. It's been a little bit scary because I didn't know how my hamstring would hold up. I think I just need to let it heal for a little bit. I don't know how much time that's going to take, but we'll see."

"I'm definitely not going on the DL. That's not happening. This team needs me."

Here are the current lineups for today's game between the Dodgers and the Diamondbacks.

D-Backs:
Bloomquist 6
Hill 4
Upton 9
Kubel 7
Goldschmidt 3
Montero 2
Roberts 5
Pollock 8
Kennedy 1

Dodgers:
Gordon 6
M Ellis 4
Abreu 7
Ethier 9
AJ Ellis 2
Loney 3
Uribe 5
Gwynn 8
Kershaw 1
