Dodgers Vs. Rockies Final Score: A.J. Ellis, Bobby Abreu Lead L.A. To 11-5 Win

The Los Angeles Dodgers fell behind 3-0 in the top of the first inning, and by the fifth inning were without Matt Kemp (irritated left hamstring), Andre Ethier (ejection for arguing balls and strikes), and manager Don Mattingly (ejected with Ethier), but none of that mattered, as the Dodgers battered the Colorado Rockies 11-5 on Sunday at Dodger Stadium to complete a three-game sweep.

A.J. Ellis, batting sixth for the first time in his career, went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI, and his .462 on-base percentage ranks second in the major leagues.

Bobby Abreu hit a go-ahead three-run double in the fifth inning, and Scott Van Slyke hit a two-run double in the eighth inning. Not bad for the in-game replacements for Kemp and Ethier, respectively.

Ted Lilly had his worst start of the season, but recovered to pitch into the seventh inning for his fifth win of the season. Lilly has won eight straight decisions dating back to last season.

The Dodgers open a brief two-game series Monday night at home against the Arizona Diamondbacks, with Clayton Kershaw facing Ian Kennedy in the opener. The Dodgers are 15-3 at home this season.
